24 February 2022 – Mpumalanga Industrial Symbiosis Programme: Synergy Identification and Progression Training

The National Cleaner Production Centre, South Africa (NCPC-SA) in collaboration with Mpumalanga Economic Development and Tourism (DEDT) invites you to join the Mpumalanga Industrial Symbiosis Programme (MISP) through the synergy identification and progression training workshop.

The workshop is aimed at capacitating municipalities to efficiently implement and identify Industrial Symbiosis opportunities.

What is Industrial Symbiosis?

Industrial Symbiosis is a resource-efficient approach, where unused or residual resources (material, energy, water, waste, assets, and logistics) of one company are used by another. The NCPC-SA is the custodian of Industrial Symbiosis Programmes in Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

How does it work?

Industrial Symbiosis uses a unique facilitation approach to rapidly match member companies’ underutilized resources with those who can utilize them. The programme actively supports its members to realise business opportunities or “synergies”.
