16 & 17 November – Online Training on Waste Management in Industrial Parks

The National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC-SA) invites industrial park stakeholders and government authorities to online training on waste management in industrial parks through Eco-Industrial Park (EIP) approaches.

While poor waste management practices present challenges for industrial parks, surrounding communities and the environment, EIP approaches drive better waste management within parks. These create opportunities for business development, job creation, the reuse of resources i.e. off-cuts, water, energy and encourage an exchange of synergies between tenant companies thereby moving towards a circular economy.

The NCPC-SA will host training sessions to unpack how industrial park stakeholders can implement sustainable waste management practices using EIP approaches.

Objectives and benefits of the training

  • Learn about practical solutions, approaches and key requirements for hazardous waste storage, waste management and recycling at an industrial park level.
  • Better understand the current status, challenges and opportunities of waste management and recycling in South African industrial parks.
