Invitation to Circular Economy in the Textile & Garments Sector Project Inception Workshop

The National Cleaner Production Centre, South Africa, is pleased to invite you to attend and participate in the national inception workshop of the project: Promotion of circular economy in the textile and garment sector through the sustainable management of chemicals and waste in Lesotho, Madagascar and South Africa.

This exciting five-year project is being implemented nationally by the NCPC-SA, in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and aims to advance the concepts and advantages of circular economy in the South African textile and garment sector. Its application promises great benefits for companies, the sector, and the country.

The aim of this workshop is to set the scene for the next five years, and it is expected that this be used as a platform for delegates to share knowledge, challenges and experiences around circularity in the textile and garment sector, with specific emphasis on chemical management and waste discards.

All sector stakeholders are invited to participate, including businesses, policy makers, sector representatives, consulting specialists, academics and civil society.
