Call to Participate: Gauteng Green Hydrogen Strategy Stakeholder Consultation Workshop

The National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC-SA), the Gauteng Department for Economic Development and the CSIR Energy Centre request your participation in a Green Hydrogen Strategy Workshop to be hosted at the CSIR ICC, Pretoria on Friday, 14 March 2025.

The Gauteng Provincial Government has identified energy, with a focus on new technologies and a diverse energy mix as one of the high-growth sectors that will deliver economic growth and create jobs in the province. Green Hydrogen (GH2) and related technologies for production and application are seen as necessary for decarbonising the province’s industry and mobility sector.

The province hosts a variety of industries, making the GH2 sector a promising opportunity to support its decarbonisation commitments. To move forward, a strategy has been drafted to assess the feasibility of commercialising and applying this sector. We are inviting a limited number of participants to provide input. We believe that your background and expertise will offer an invaluable perspective and assist in shaping the final strategy.
