13 & 14 May 2026 – EIP Finance Workshop
The National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC-SA), in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), will host a two-day workshop to support access to finance for industrial spaces participating in the Global Eco-Industrial Spaces Programme.
Day 1 of the workshop will be held at the Highveld Industrial Park (Witbank) and will include a site tour. Day 2 will be hosted at the CSIR ICC, Pretoria, and will include practical facilitation of finance matchmaking for bankable projects
Workshop purpose and objectives
The purpose of the workshop is to strengthen partnerships for securing green finance for bankable projects in industrial spaces. The sessions will focus on:
- Showcasing financing mechanisms such as blended finance, climate finance, guarantees, and public-private partnerships that can support priority EIP investments
- Facilitating engagement between the industrial park management team and financial institutions to explore bankable models, financing instruments, and partnership opportunities
- Establishing a platform for ongoing dialogue and collaboration to accelerate the implementation of EIP interventions
- Mobilising access to finance for priority EIP investments identified
- Establishing an EIP Financing Forum

- Management teams from GEIPP participants (industrial parks, SEZs and IDZs)
- Commercial banks and green financing units
- Development finance institutions (DFIs)
- Private sector investors
