The journey to a more efficient and sustainable way of doing business begins with Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP), which can help industry achieve significant resource savings with surprisingly little investment – and often quick wins that can pave the way to even greater savings.

The NCPC-SA developed the Industrial Efficiency site to promote the continuous application of RECP – implement preventative environmental strategies to processes, products and services to increase efficiency and reduce risks to communities and the environment.

This is in line with the Centre’s mandate to promote the implementation of RECP methodologies to assist industry to lower costs through reduced energy, water and materials usage, and waste management. It is hosted by the CSIR on behalf of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic).
