The NCPC-SA to launch industrial water efficiency tools and guides in February
On 17 February 2022, the National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC-SA) will be hosting an online workshop to introduce a series of industrial water efficiency guides and tools.
Through the Industrial Water Efficiency (IWE) project, the NCPC-SA aims to contribute to the sustainable transformation of industrial water usage practices thus reducing water consumption and improving industrial water effluent quality.
The water efficiency best practice guide and the industrial water efficiency assessment guide (developed in collaboration with the CSIR Water Centre) are meant to help ease the pressure on our country’s already strained freshwater supplies. These are currently available for free download on the NCPC-SA website for the industry to use. Further to these tools, a monitoring and metering guide that was developed in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) will be launched.
The workshop will be presented by the NCPC-SA’s water efficiency experts, who will be joined by partners from the IFC and other Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) experts.
The benefits of attending the workshop are:
Learn practical skills to manage and address water losses.
Empower employees to play their part in improving companies’ water footprint.
Raise the awareness of water management in the workplace.
