23, 24, 30 & 31 March – Online Training for Eco-Industrial Park Service Providers

The National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC-SA) invites industrial park tenants and national service providers to online training on Eco-Industrial Parks (EIPs) approaches.

As an initiative of the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP) to transform traditional industrial parks into EIPs, the NCPC-SA capacitates industrial park stakeholders and suppliers with tools and skills to support the successful implementation of EIP approaches in South Africa.

Objectives and benefits of the training

  • Provide service providers with knowledge and skills to support industrial parks in their transformation towards eco-industrial parks.
  • Share and learn about (inter)national good practices and engage with other national service providers to exchange experiences and learnings on the implementation of eco-industrial park approaches.
  • Learn about resources and tools available to support the identification, development and implementation of EIP approaches in industrial parks, including the interactive exercises with UNIDO’s EIP Toolbox.
  • Learn about the benefits and application Eco-Industrial Park approaches to industrial parks and their tenant companies (e.g. EIP baseline and opportunity assessments, industrial synergies, added value park management services, industrial park planning).
  • Understand the opportunities, challenges and success factors to apply EIP approaches in South Africa

National service providers covering technical, management, financial, social, organizational and governance disciplines.
