National Eco-Industrial Park Day – 12 October 2023, CSIR ICC Pretoria

In support of a reimagined approach to revitalising industrial parks and spaces in South Africa, the National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC-SA) in collaboration with the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), National Treasury and supported by GIZ Naturez will host a National Eco-Industrial Park Day on Thursday, 12 October 2022 at the CSIR ICC, Pretoria.

The focus of the event is to provide industrial park stakeholders, suppliers, government officials and experts with a platform to share knowledge, lessons learnt and facilitate collaboration among stakeholders. It will also foster discussions on industrial parks and companies’ Just Transition to a Circular Economy by unpacking three resource efficient and cleaner production thematic areas, water, energy and materials or waste.

The NCPC-SA is implements the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme in South Africa in partnership with UNIDO. The EIP approach provides a platform to assist industrial areas and companies in the Just Transition to a Circular Economy while addressing the national priorities set by the government to address poverty, employment and inequality, as well as meeting the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC’s).
