This 32-hour training programme aims to provide an in-depth technical information on undertaking an industrial process heating system and waste heat reduction assessment and making improvements to industrial process heating. Additionally, it aims to provide hands-on training for using all the US DOE steam system Best Practices software tools in the field when conducting an industrial process heating system assessment.
Process heating accounts for most of all process energy used in the South African manufacturing sector. This training introduces process heating and energy-saving measures for industrial process heating equipment such as furnaces, dryers, ovens, heaters and kilns. This is a theoretical course with no fieldwork involved.
