The NCPC’s Strategy and Innovation Manager, Lee-Hendor Ruiters recently participated as a panellist in the Waste Management and the Circular Economy webinar hosted by Engineering News. He discussed key strategies for advancing recycling and circular business model. He highlighted the importance of promoting recycling initiatives, engaging local communities, and building infrastructure to support entrepreneurial opportunities.
Ruiters also emphasised the role of material recovery facilities in adding value to waste streams, creating new business opportunities for entrepreneurs. He stressed the significance of designing products with recyclability in mind and adopting circular business models to extend the lifecycle of products.
