19 June 2025 – Gauteng Industrial Symbiosis Programme Business Opportunity Workshop
The National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC-SA in collaboration with Gauteng Department of Environment invites you to attend the Gauteng Industrial Symbiosis Programme (GISP) business opportunity workshop.
The IS Programme is a free facilitation service that promotes the exchange of one company’s residual resources (material, energy, water, waste, assets, logistics, expertise, etc.) with another that can use them.
Currently, the programme is implemented in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Northern Cape, Free State, Mpumalanga and the Eastern Cape.
How does it work?
Industrial Symbiosis uses a unique facilitation approach to rapidly match member companies’ underutilized resources with those who can utilize them. The programme actively supports its members to realise business opportunities or “synergies”.
Who should attend?
The event is aimed at the following representatives:
- Directors/owners of industrial companies with residual waste or resources
- Waste/recycling and other environmental companies
- Representatives from manufacturing industries
- Science and technology labs
- R&D departments and universities
- Municipality representatives responsible for waste management
- Road construction companies
- Entrepreneurs.
