EIP Concept and Master Planning Workshop – Highveld IP

The National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC-SA), in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), will host a workshop to capacitate Highveld Industrial Park on the eco-industrial parks (EIP) concept planning and master planning. The project team will take attendees through practical steps and tools to support the realisation of a concept plan and a master plan aligned with the EIP approaches and the industrial park’s needs.

Workshop objectives

• Develop customised EIP concept plans for Highveld Industrial Park, focusing on its specific priorities (infrastructure, value-added services, retention and attracting new industries, sustainable energy and water supply, mitigating environmental challenges, and increasing resource efficiency).
• Explore UNIDO’s master planning tool in order to develop a plan for the park.

• Management team of the Highveld Industrial Park
• Key stakeholders involved in the operation and strategic planning
• Project team (NCPC-SA and UNIDO)
