The Sustainable Industrial Spaces Conference 2025, is a two-day hybrid event, hosted by the National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC-SA), dedicated to advancing sustainability and competitiveness in industrial spaces.
This collaborative platform will bring together key stakeholders to advance sustainable practices and enhance competitiveness within industrial spaces. The conference will take place at the CSIR ICC in Pretoria and online.
The conference will highlight two flagship initiatives: the Sustainable Energy Systems for Urban-Industrial Development (SESID), which aims to accelerate the uptake of renewable energy in industrial spaces, and the Global Eco Industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP), which fosters efficient resource use, industrial symbiosis, and cleaner production, contributing to a low-carbon economy.
The NCPC-SA is supported in the Sustainable Industrial Spaces programme by the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO); as well as funding partners the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the Global Environment Facility (GEF).

- Networking opportunities with local and international stakeholders
- Showcasing of innovative tools and technologies for sustainable industrial spaces
- Unpacking the importance of gender inclusion
- Understanding the NCPC / UNIDO flagship projects in industrial spaces

This is a hybrid event with limited in-person attendance at the CSIR ICC and virtual participation through Microsoft Teams.
