Conference PROGRAMME

The conference is aimed at equipping industry as well as sharing best practice and innovation. The NCPC encourages representatives of both large and small businesses in the industrial and manufacturing sectors to attend. The event is also relevant to policy makers at all levels of government, green economy consultants, as well as learners and academics from tertiary institutions.

The National Cleaner Production Centre, South Africa (NCPC-SA) is your host for the event, led by Mr Ndivhuho Raphulu.

However, this year’s conference also features a global conference hosted by UNIDO’s Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP), funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The other significant organizing partner is the Sustainable Industrial Clusters (SIC) initiative of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

The National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC) is a national programme that supports the transition of South Africa to a green economy through the application of the broad principles of resource efficient and cleaner production (RECP).

The NCPC is managed by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), under the oversight of an executive management committee, chaired by the Green Industries desk of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic).
