Seasoned physical metallurgist with sound background in Engineering and business management. Project leader for the National Foundry Technology Network (NFTN) that culminated in managing the Casting RDI portfolio. Experienced leader with demonstrated history of working in steelmaking, Rail and fabrication sectors. A professional with MDP, B.COM amongst other qualifications with over 20 years’ industrial experience.

Isidore Kilongozi

Senior Project Manager, National Foundry Technology Network (NFTN)

An established Senior Metallurgical Engineer and Senior Project Manager with 20 plus years management and technical experience in the metallurgical field, qualified with a master’s degree in Metallurgy Engineering. He has successfully facilitated implementation of effective and efficient plant processing changes to produce high quality products that meet customer needs in the most cost-effective manner. He has successfully managed cross-functional technical teams focusing on the safety and wellbeing of employees as well as coaching, mentoring teams and empowering individuals to achieve business objectives and optimizing operations. Currently in charge of Technology Transfer and Localization portfolio at the NFTN.

Ozone 2020 Skills Development

Xolani Matebese is founder of Ozone 2020 Skills Development (Pty) Ltd, developing the technical skills of the foundry personnel and assisting foundries to be sustainable.
Having 21 yrs. of experience in the ferrous and non-ferrous manufacturing.
Education background: BTech Engineering Metallurgy (Physical) and Business Management.

Lee-Hendor Ruiters

Resource & Innovation Manager, NCPC 

Lee-Hendor fulfills the role of portfolio manager as a part of the NCPC-SA management team. He is responsible for business development, innovation and policy initiatives in RECP and SCP aimed at supporting the strategic objectives of the Centre.

 
He represents the NCPC-SA in various leadership roles on local and international platforms and initiatives. In this respect, he champions the Centre’s activities on eco-industrial parks, circular economy and eco-innovation initiatives and works closely with UNEP on Africa region policy mainstreaming and supporting SME’s.

Economist: Sustainable Growth, TIPS

Seutame Maimele is an Economist: Sustainable Growth at Trade and Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS). His work focuses on global climate change policies and trade, designing climate-compatible value chains for carbon-intensive industries in South Africa and Africa. He also works extensively on the just transition in South Africa.
