SUSTAINABLE PROJECT FINANCING – THE NEXT STEP ON THE RECP JOURNEY
Business plan development and financing of Green Projects Training (Web Marketing)
Many companies have embarked on their sustainability journey and have identified projects to improve efficiencies and general sustainability. The NCPC-SA have conducted numerous assessments at many of these companies identifying the main obstacle to implementation of projects as the lack of capital. This training course seeks to empower companies that have identified projects for implementation to acquire sustainable finance by identifying sustainability funders, providing guidance on the application process and training on the development of financial metrics and business plans for submission to funding institutions. The course also provides access to the NCPC database of sustainability project financiers and templates facilitating the creation of compliant and professional submissions increasing the prospects of positive outcomes.
Course topics covered are:
Day 1: RECP and the Business Plan
- Overview of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) and the approach
- Elements of a Business Plan
- Detailed Financial Risk
Day 2: Available funding and application
- The NCPC-SA database of funding
- Identifying the project phase and suitable funders
- The application processes.
The course aims at providing the attendees with the following:
- Familiarization with the key concepts and terminology related to sustainable financing
- An understanding of risk and the risk factors that potential funders will be investigating
- Equip candidates with tools to develop their own business plans
- Provide candidates with detailed information on the funding available in South Africa and internationally and the requirements of respective funds
- Equipping candidates to successfully apply to funders
